DIAL DETAILS
12" square "Walker & Hughes" painted dial with main "wavy Arabic" numerals, "wavy Arabic" outers ( 60, 15, 30, 45 ) subsidiary seconds dial, "sad mouth" date aperture, fruit centred leafy swags to corner spandrels and blued, cut steel, lozenge, hands. N.B. Walker & Hughes ( dialmakers ) are recorded in Birmingham - 15, Lower Priory 1812 - 26, then Fisher Street 1827 - 35. This example, dating by style, is one of their earlier ones, circa 1815.
