CASE DETAILS
Well proportioned, good quality, long door, quarter sawn oak case with triple eagle/ball topped swan neck pediment with cast brass paterae. Cast brass Corinthian capitals, to fluted hood columns, and to matching trunk quarter columns.The shaped top to the trunk door repeated in the applied base panel.All set on shallow bracket feet.
DIAL DETAILS
12" breakarch very early "Wilson" painted dial with moonphases to arch, raised gilt gesso corner spandrels, matching subsidiary seconds and date dials. Blued cut steel hands.
MOVEMENT DETAILS
Good quality, 8 day, 4 pillar, movement with hourly ( rack ) striking.

Bailey of Stanion ( near to Corby, Northamptonshire ).An ( as yet ) unrecorded maker.
