Small, neat, long door, quarter sawn, oak case with "pillars attached" hood door and pierced frieze under flat top hood. Side windows to hood. Good warm colour and patination. Plain strip plinth.
DIAL DETAILS
12" square brass dial with exquisitely engraved and silvered subsidiary seconds dial, centre zone, chapter ring and silvered date ring. Cast brass rococo spandrels.Blued cut steel hands.
MOVEMENT DETAILS
Typical Avenell family high quality, 5 pillar, weight driven movement with hourly ( rack ) striking on a single bell.Typical Avenell high quality brass strip pendulum.
