Late 18thC, plain oak, long door case with pagoda top, reeded hood columns, and side windows to hood.Absolutely typical of the region/period.
DIAL DETAILS
12" breakarch early "Wilson" painted ( fly ) dial with gilt gesso borders enclosing gilt scrolling corner spandrels centred with stylised flowers. Very well executed moonphases to arch with delicately painted seascape and landscape between moons.Roman hour numerals with "minutes numbered" outer. Subsidiary seconds and date dials.Well executed blued cut steel hands.
MOVEMENT DETAILS
8 day 5 pillar movement with hourly ( rack ) striking, pull hour repeat with starwheel and jumper plus "quirky" pull advance date mechanism system, shaped back cock, superbly executed wheelwork - all of the very finest quality.See extra images.

Jno. ( John ) Juler of North Walsham ( approx. 16 miles North of Norwich ).There are two John Julers listed - John 1. ( 1712 - 1797 ) the descendant of a Huguenot refugee who arrived in N. Walsham in 1686 and John 2. 1744 - 1825. This clock could have been made by either
