Typical late 18c/early 19C , long door, flame mahogany, "London" case with breakarch top, side windows to hood, brass capped, brass insert, "flying" fluted hood columns, hood rear quarter columns and typical two step, raised panel, base.
DIAL DETAILS
High quality 12" breakarch painted BRASS dial with subsidiary dials for strike/silent ( in arch ) seconds dial ( below 12 o'clock position ) and date ( above 6 o'clock position ).
Signed in flowing script - Perigal & Dutterau to dial centre and BOND STREET in block to upper date dial. Lozenge hour and minute hands, plain hands for subsidiary dials. All blued cut steel.
MOVEMENT DETAILS
High quality, 8 day, 5 pillar movement with hourly ( rack ) striking and strike/ silent facility.
MAKER DETAILS
Perigal & Dutterau Bond street ( London ). Recorded "Watchmaker to His Majesty" ( this would be George III ).
