This Longcase Oak's Movement - A very rare and highly idiosyncratic 30 hour plate frame movement with internal rack striking, and simple quarter striking on 3 bells with hourly strike on a further, larger, hour bell. Early form of finned and knopped pillars. Signed to lower chapter ring "James Yeomans of Mercaston fecit" Beautifully designed and executed.I haven't seen another like it in my lifetime, so far. 30 hour clocks which have internal rack striking are rare, when they also sound the quarters they are VERY rare. - Price: £7,250

Title	LCOAK 309
Case	A very well proportioned long door, oak case with simple "silk" backed fret under corniced flat top. "Pillars attached" hood door with matching hood rear quarter columns. Good colour and rich, warm patination. Interestingly, the seatboard is secured using clout nails through the sides of the cheeks rather than the seatboard resting on top of the cheeks and has seemingly never been removed since first made.
Dial	11" square brass dial with matted and engraved dial centre, silvered subsidiary seconds dial, date and chapter rings, large crown and cherub spandrels, date box and two blued cut steel hands.
