Case | Good quality, long door, quarter sawn oak case with burrwood (walnut ?) crossbanding . The breakarch top with fretted and pierced detail under. Brass capped "flying" hood columns, trunk door with shaped top, base set on shallow bracket feet. | |
Dial | 13" wheatear edge engraved breakarch brass dial with penny moon to arch, finely matted centre, ringed winding holes, urn spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial and square date box. Blued cut steel hands. | |
Movement | Good quality, 8 day, movement with 4 knopped, finned and ringed pillars. Hourly ( rack ) striking on a single bell.Well made with good attention to detail. | |
