This Longcase Mahogany's Maker - Lancaster of Devonport ( area of Plymouth ). This will be William Lancaster. N.B. It is recorded - "Lancaster's name is to be found on good quality mahogany longcase and bracket clocks and also watches." He married Mary Pinhey ( also of a good clock and watchmaking family ) at Stoke Damerel church 20th Nov. 1771. Died 12th February 1820.
