Case | Superior quality, late 18C, typically "London" flame mahogany case with side windows to keystone centred "double breakarch" top, brass capped, brass insert, fluted "flying" hood columns with matching trunk quarter columns. Bridge top trunk door, raised panelled base with scalloped corners and two step plinth, the lower, shaped. | |
Dial | 12" breakarch brass dial with Strike/Silent selector to arch, cast brass spandrels, finely matted dial centre, subsidiary seconds dial, square datebox above the 6 o'clock position and signed Chas. Howse London to silvered plaque to lower dial centre. Blued cut steel hands, "double brass" pendulum bob and brass bound weights. | |
