Case | A very good, well proportioned, typically West Country, crossbanded and boxwood strung, figured mahogany, case with eagle/ball centred swan neck pediment, brass Corinthian capped hood columns, wavy inner edge to hood door, shaped hood backsplats, canted, boxwood strung sides to trunk, and shallow bracket feet. | |
Dial | 12" breakarch ( Finnemore & Son ) painted dial with moonphases to arch, subsidiary seconds dial, 'sad mouth' date aperture, pink rose centred corner spandrels and blued cut steel hands. N.B. Finnemore & Son recorded 1828 - 40. | |
