Case | Typical West Country, early 19C, short door, mahogany case with eagle ball centred swan neck pediment, brass capped fluted hood columns, good flame veneers to inlay surrounded panels above and below the trunk door, the trunk door itself and the base panel.Boxwood stringing to hood arch, trunk door, trunk canted corners and base panel.All set on shallow bracket feet.Typical of the period and location. | |
Dial | 12" breakarch painted dial with moonphases to arch, subsidiary seconds dial, "sad mouth" date aperture, flower painted corner spandrels, Roman chapters and blued cut steel hands. | |
