Case | Typical late 18C, long door, "Bristol" figured mahogany case with eagle ball centred swan neck pediment above dentil moulding with typical Bristol pierced fret work under.Fluted, brass capped "floating" hood columns, shaped top to trunk door, fluted canted corners to trunk. | |
Dial | 12" breakarch brass dial with moonphases and High Water at Bristol Key to arch. "Starry Sky" background to moonphases. Finely matted dial centre, square date box, subsidiary seconds dial and blued cut steel hands.Finely engraved moonphase "humps". | |
Movement | Good quality 4 pillar movement with hourly ( rack) striking on a single bell. | |
