11" square brass dial with engraved detail between finely cast and finished "cherubs head" spandrels, ringing to winding holes and to centre of subsidiary seconds dial. Peter Garon of London is recorded - born circa 1673, apprenticed in 1687 to Richard Baker.Granted freedom of the City by the Lord Mayor and made a Freeman of the Clockmakers Company in 1694.Known to have been taking apprentices in 1697. Watch by him in the British Museum.
