MAKER DETAILS
Thomas Strickland of Kendal - is unrecorded ( but is a known and apparently rare maker ). There is recorded a Timothy Strickland of Kendal circa 1720 to circa 1740 which I speculate may be the father of Thomas as the date of this clock ( dating by style circa 1770 ) would fit in with Thomas being the son and when he would have been working.
DATE - Circa 1770.
HEIGHT - 90" ( 228.5 cms. ) or 87.4" ( 222 cms. ) Ex. Finial.
