Typical "Westcountry" short door, boxwood strung, flame mahogany case with 3 brass eagle/ball finials to breakarch/fretted top.Brass capped fluted hood columns and front only bracket feet. A "leaner."

DIAL DETAILS

13" breakarch painted dial using soft, pastel shades with moonphases to arch, subsidiary seconds and date dials. Blued, cut steel, hands.

MOVEMENT DETAILS

Good quality, 8 day, 4 pillar movement with hourly ( rack ) striking.

MAKER DETAILS

Gregory of Gloucester.This will be William Tucker Gregory who is recorded - 16, Eastgate Street, Gloucester 1849 - 52 so we may confidently attribute this clock to circa 1850.

DATE - Circa 1850.

HEIGHT - 91" ( 231 cms. ) or 87" ( 221 cms. ) ex. Central finial.
