CASE DETAILS
Typical "West Country" solid mahogany, well proportioned case with shallow swan neck pediment having typical pierced work under, repeated below hood cornice moulding. "Pillars attached" hood door with polished brass capitals and feet.Matching hood rear quarter columns. Long trunk door with shaped top. Plain strip plinth. Very good, rich, dark colour.
DIAL DETAILS
12" square, engraved and silvered brass dial, subsidiary seconds dial, squared end "sad mouth" date aperture, signed to lower dial centre Edw.d ( Edward ) Hopkins Bradford. N.B. This is Bradford on Avon Wiltshire. Finely engraved 4 seasons spandrels. Blued, cut steel hands.

Good quality, 8 day movement with 4 knopped pillars and hourly ( rack ) striking.
