Typical "Edinburgh" area slender, well proportioned, flame mahogany case having swan neck pediment, centred by brass eagle/ball finial, with "silk" backed pierced and fretted detail under. Fluted "flying" hood columns with matching fluted trunk quarter columns.Side windows. Excellent cabinet work with well chosen flame veneers to trunk door and base panel.
DIAL DETAILS
12" breakarch brass dial with name boss - Robt. ( Robert ) Welsh Dalkeith to arch. Silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds dial ( silvered and engraved "disc" type applied from rear of dial ) and date ring.Matted dial centre, cast brass rococo corner spandrels, square date box and blued cut steel hands.

Good quality 8 day, 4 pillar movement with hourly ( rack ) striking.
