CASE DETAILS
Very good flame mahogany case with eagle ball centred swan neck pediment, decorative Greek key pattern moulding under, Corinthian capitals to plain "flying" hood columns, string inlay to long trunk door, all set on shallow bracket feet.
DIAL DETAILS
2" breakarch early "Wilson" dial with moonphases to arch, delicate flower painted corner spandrels with raised gilt gesso borders, cherry and flower sprig decorated dial centre, subsidiary seconds dial and centre sweep date indicator.Blued cut steel hands, the date indicator with brass heart shaped tip. N.B. James Wilson ( dial maker ) recorded 11, Great Charles Street, Birmingham, 1780 - 1808.Died 3rd.April 1809.
