Typical "Bristol" short door mahogany case with triple eagle/ball fretted top, rope twist hood columns and matching rope twist trunk columns, rosewood crossbanding and details, plus contrasting dark wood string inlays to hood, trunk and base.All set on shallow bracket feet.Typical of the period and location.
DIAL DETAILS
13" breakarch painted dial with raised convex dial centre, flower painted corner spandrels, subsidiary seconds dial, "sad mouth" date aperture and featuring moonphases to arch. Matching punch decorated brass hands.
MOVEMENT DETAILS
Good quality, 8 day, 4 pillar movement with hourly ( rack ) striking.

A. ( Augustine ) Guanella of Bristol recorded 1820 - 1840.
