CASE DETAILS

Typical "Bristol" case of the short door style popular 1830 - 50.This example with good quality flame veneers, fretted top, ebonised details to hood, trunk door and base all sitting on "front only" shallow bracket feet, the top surmounted by 3 eagle/ball finials.

DIAL DETAILS

13" breakarch painted dial with moonphases to arch, matching subsidiary seconds and calendar dials. Punch decorated brass hands.

MOVEMENT DETAILS

Good quality 8 day, 4 pillar movement with hourly ( rack ) striking.

MAKER DETAILS

Bartley of Bristol. Mark Bartley of Bristol is recorded 1815 - 1855 ( when he died )."A prolific maker of good quality clocks".

DATE - 1830 - 50.
