CASE DETAILS

Well proportioned flame mahogany case having pierced/ fretted cresting, and side windows to hood.Stopped brass canted reeded corners to trunk with stopped brass to reeded hood columns.Typical panelled "London" two step base.Crisp mouldings to trunk door and base panel.All surmounted by 3 spire ball finials.

DIAL DETAILS

12" breakarch painted dial with moonphases to arch and "High Water at London Bridge", subsidiary seconds and date dials, strike and not strike lever at 3 O'clock position. Dial centre signed Thos. Dobson, Chiswell St. London Fine, matching, brass hands with original gilding.

MOVEMENT DETAILS

Exceptional 5 pillar movement with deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, tee shaped front plate to take the particularly well executed gear driven moonwork and regulator style suspension for the wood rod pendulum, strike/not strike facility, moon phases, High Water at London Bridge and sought after classic case style with stopped brass canted reeded corners to trunk.
