Case Classic "inhabited" all over bird and flower walnut and marquetry long door case with gilded gesso wooden ball finials to detachable caddy top, barley sugar twist hood columns, convex throat moulding, and polished cast brass lenticle.Typical London two step base.
Dial 12" square brass dial with scroll engraving between crown and cherub spandrels, ringing to winding holes and to centre of subsidiary seconds dial, finely matted and engraved dial centre with decoratively engraved square date box.Silvered chapter ring, seconds and date rings. Blued cut steel hands.
Movement High quality, hourly striking, 5 pillar, month movement with outside countwheel high up on backplate.Brass bound weights.
